We are pleased to introduce TransMed Trading SA, a dynamic organization established in 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland. Our primary mission is to provide exceptional trading services, with a dedicated focus on the Eastern Mediterranean region and Turkey. Despite being a newly founded company, TransMed is backed by a highly experienced commercial and operations team with decades of invaluable expertise in international crude oil and product trading. Our team's extensive knowledge enables us to effectively manage the trading of millions of tonnes of crude oil and products in the Mediterranean. We currently trade approximately 2 million tonnes of products annually, mainly gasoil, Naphtha, Bitumen, crude oil and LPG. We have a strategic focus on expanding our operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Currently, TransMed actively participates in trading and marketing a variety of commodities in collaboration with esteemed international trading companies. Supported by robust financial backing from top-tier European banks, we maintain active positions in the derivatives markets, ensuring a strong foundation for our trading initiatives. A significant asset for TransMed is our strategic position at Global Terminal Services (GTS), the largest oil terminal in Turkey, located in the Mediterranean south of Turkey.
